Alcohol Addiction
Compassionate, structured treatment for alcohol dependency. Break free from the cycle with one month of intensive residential care.
Understanding Alcohol Addiction
Alcohol addiction is one of the most common and destructive forms of substance dependency. Because alcohol is legal and socially accepted, many people struggle for years before recognising they need help. The line between heavy drinking and dependency can be difficult to see from the inside.
At Harmony Retreat, we provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can step away from the pressures and triggers of daily life to focus entirely on recovery. Our program addresses both the physical dependency and the psychological patterns that keep people trapped in the cycle of alcohol abuse.

How We Help
Alcohol addiction often carries deep shame, which prevents people from seeking help. Our team has over 30 years of experience creating a warm, caring environment where patients feel safe enough to be honest about their relationship with alcohol. We combine proven therapeutic methods with the healing power of nature, routine, and community to help patients rebuild their lives from the ground up.
Our Treatment Approach
A structured, evidence-based path - delivered one-on-one and in group, within our one-month residential programme.
Supervised Withdrawal Coordination
Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous, with risks of seizures and delirium tremens, so we arrange medically supervised off-site detox where needed and only begin therapeutic work once your body is stabilised and safe.
Understanding Your Drinking
Following the Carl Rogers client-centred model, your counsellor works without judgment to help you recognise what alcohol has been doing for you, whether numbing stress, grief, or social anxiety, and what genuinely needs to change.
Breaking the Isolation
Daily group therapy connects you with others who understand the shame and secrecy that heavy drinking creates, building the honesty and accountability that recovery from alcohol depends on.
Twelve Steps of Recovery
Working through the steps gives you a structured framework for admitting powerlessness over alcohol, making amends for the harm done while drinking, and building a sober life you can sustain after treatment.
Rebuilding After the Bottle
Years of drinking often erode communication, anger management, and financial responsibility, so practical workshops help you restore the everyday skills and routines that alcohol quietly took over.
Healing the Household
Alcohol addiction fractures trust with partners and children, so we offer family counselling to repair damaged relationships and set clear, healthy boundaries around drinking for life after the programme.
