Train the Trainer

Equips social workers, counsellors, and community members to support youth at risk and deliver outpatient addiction services in their own communities. Our structured train-the-trainer programme builds lasting local capacity for early intervention, screening, and ongoing recovery support, extending Harmony's reach well beyond our farm.

Harmony's capacity does not end at our farm. Through our structured train-the-trainer programme, we equip social workers, community health workers, school counsellors, and faith leaders across KwaZulu-Natal and beyond with the practical skills to provide effective outpatient addiction support in their own communities.

The curriculum covers addiction theory, early identification, brief intervention techniques, validated screening tools, group facilitation, relapse prevention coaching, and how to make appropriate referrals when residential treatment is needed. Participants graduate with a certificate of completion, a practical resource pack, and access to Harmony's ongoing mentorship network.

The aim is deliberately multiplicative: we want to extend our reach into the communities that need it most, far beyond what a single residential centre could ever achieve on its own.
